Thank you for sharing this summary.

I agree that visualization literacy itself is also linked to other forms of skills like language literacy and numeracy. And these skills already vary a lot across cultures. I'm glad to see on-going discussions about cultural variations of vis literacy tests and can't wait to read more thoughts on what it takes to translate and adapt the existing tests across cultures.

I'd love to be added to the reading club. Thanks!

Thank you for the summary of the meeting and the articles. I will be going through them and would like to join your reading club mailing list (I am subscribed to your mailing list). My observation has been that visualizations took a long time to become more in the mainstream given that the existing tools (Excel for example) were not simple to use and even more difficult to customize. It is only in recent times that there are more tools available for data visualizations and much more popular literature on the topic (Data visualizations and storytelling).

I agree Nabil. This is why now it's the right time to focus on visualization literacy!

Thank you for sharing the meeting outcomes. I definitely agree about the cultural barrier, I wonder how the education system in a particular area can be used to shape these tests.

I would love to join the reading club!
