Hi all,
This is a short message to let you know that I am preparing a new free (1-hour) webinar on Maven called “Can You Trust It? 4 Ways Data Visualizations Mislead.”
In this webinar, I will cover four main sources of misleading information that can be drawn from a visualization.
This is useful both for data analysis and communication. When you perform data analysis and build charts, you want to ensure you are not fooling yourself. When you are designing visualizations for your readers, you want to ensure you are communicating trustworthy and correct messages to them.
This seminar introduces the basic framework I use for my Rhetorical Data Visualization course, which I will briefly describe at the end of the seminar. This framework enables you to spot and prevent mistakes that stem from the data, calculations, visual representation, and tiles.
Sign up for the webinar to learn more. I am looking forward to seeing you there!
Thanks,
Enrico.
P.S. If you missed my previous webinar called “Same Data, Different Charts: How Visuals Shape Data Messages,” take a look to get a sense of what my webinars are like. Last time, we had over 400 signups. It would be great to have even more for this one!
